TeskaLabs Welcomes New VP of Application Security
Startup Strengthen Resources to Fight Cybercrime
PRAGUE, Czech Republic - February 9, 2016 - TeskaLabs today welcomed ICT security expert Jiri Kohout as their new VP of Application Security. Kohout will have oversight of the information security landscape, architecture design and security implementation, assisting organizations and TeskaLabs Partners to build and operate mobile solutions securely according to best practices and standards.
TeskaLabs expects that his holistic approach will help companies prevent mobile application cyber breaches which cost enterprises more than $50 billion every year. Jiri commented: “I am excited to start a new challenge and look forward to raising security awareness and educating the public on application security.”
Jiri brings years of experience in ICT security. Before TeskaLabs, Jiri was a Senior Security Architect at the largest software development house in the Czech Republic, managing and conducting penetration testing for some of the largest banks, designing security architecture for new information systems, and was responsible for security-related activities of the department. For several years, he acted as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Ministry of Justice and Chief Information Officer for Prague Municipal Court. He cooperated with the Czech National Security Agency to prepare the Czech Republic cyber security law.

TeskaLabs’ Technology SeaCat Unaffected by GNU C Library Security Vulnerability (CVE-2015-7547)
TeskaLabs, a Prague and London based startup in application security, today affirmed that their core products are not exposed to the GLibC flaw, a highly critical security vulnerability. There is now a rapidly growing number of IoT devices that use Linux as their operating system and inherently GLibC.
